The P&C Associate is responsible for administrative duties including; high volume data entry & data processing, filing, ensuring the efficient flow of information to payroll, managing the check in office, processing employee deposits, assisting with employee arrivals & shuttles, employee check in, onboarding and orientation and handling employment related questions & concerns. Some applicant screening, interviewing and hiring may be required.


This position is based at the Prince of Wales Hotel and runs from mid-May through late-September. Free Housing & Meals are provided on site, to qualified candidates.


Occasional travel to our People & Culture offices in East Glacier Park, Montana - in the US - will be required.


  • Manages the Check-In office, including: Check-in and On-Boarding of new hires, processing of new hire related paperwork, building & maintaining employee files, ordering employee name tags and ID's, uniforms and other related items
  • Represents GPI in a positive and professional manner at all times
  • Accurately & confidentially processes large volumes of information both electronically and in written format
  • Efficiently files, inputs and uploads data to personnel files and HRIS systems (iCims, Power Source) to properly maintain and update personnel records
  • Works closely with Payroll department to ensure efficient & accurate flow of necessary information
  • Processes unemployment claims
  • Administers Pay-Pal account to process employment deposits
  • Processes Shoes 4 Crews and other employee related accounts
  • Responsible for ordering office supplies and maintaining appropriate levels of office inventory
  • Facilitates new hire transportation and arrival information and assists with employee arrivals and shuttles if necessary
  • May assist in screening employment applications and conduct reference checks, to assess qualifications or eligibility.
  • Will assist with employee recognition & rewards initiatives
  • Will assist with employee communications; newsletters and activities
  • May assist with benefits administration and workers comp when required
  • Processes background checks of new hire candidates when required
  • May assist with advertising to ensure positions are properly posted
  • Visits post office & GPI mail room daily to ensure proper flow of company & employee mail 
  • Explains company personnel policies, benefits and procedures to employees and applicants and answers related questions
  • Develops professional working relationships with, coworkers, vendors and local community organizations
  • Occasional travel for recruiting events, conferences, seminars, etc. both domestically and internationally may be required
  • Position may require travel in and around Glacier National Park, surrounding areas and Waterton, Alberta Canada
  • Assists with other job duties and responsibilities as required



  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Human Resources  or office administration required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience is required 
  • General knowledge of all (HR) People & Culture functions required
  • Functional knowledge of employment law, policies and regulations
  • Experience in seasonal hotel/ hospitality Concessions operations preferred
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills and time management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle large volumes of work efficiently and accurately with extreme attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Applicant tracking, Information systems and standard office programs
  • Must be friendly, outgoing, enthusiastic and courteous in dealing with employees, guests and coworkers
  • Must be able to handle employee concerns with discretion, in a professional and tactful manner
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and adapt to a fast paced, high volume, changing environment 
  • Ability to legally enter Canada and travel internationally and valid drivers license. 



Work Environment

  1. Administrative office environment in an historic hotel/business office.
  2. Remote National Park environment.
  3. Job requires working longhours, weekends and holidays during summer season.
  4. Long periods of sitting and standing.
  5. Long periods of typing/data entry.
  6. Non-smoking environment.
