Overview

Provides safe and courteous employee and guest shuttle services between all GPI properties as well as services in and around Kalispell and Whitefish, MT.  Assists in other departments or other job duties as required. 

Responsibilities

  1. Conducts employee shuttle runs to and from airport, hotels, employee housing, and social security office, shopping venues, etc. 
  2. May transport guests on occasion throughout park. 
  3. Loads and unloads baggage, transports mail, supervises seating and arrangements for the comfort of all passengers.  
  4. Maintains driver’s daily paperwork as assigned (i.e., records number of passengers, alerts Shuttle Supervisor of any unusual happenings). 
  5. Maintains order and reports passenger complaints to Shuttle Supervisor. 
  6. Responsible for vehicle cleanliness and light maintenance (pre- and post-DOT vehicle form) on a daily basis.  
  7. Must report in writing all malfunctions of motor vehicle equipment. 
  8. Conforms to all rules of safety and the laws of Federal, State of Montana and the Province of Alberta.  These rules regulate transportation in the area where drivers are employed. 
  9. Adheres to all Company policies and regulations. 
  10. Assists in other departments or other job duties as required or necessary.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • A clean driving record is required.
  • Certification in CPR/1st Aid required.
  • A valid passport and entry to Canada may be required.
  • Pass DOT medical examination prior to driving a GPC vehicle.
  • Pass GPC drug/alcohol testing inclusive of pre-employment, random (as prescribed under Federal DOT law) and for cause testing.
  • Must have 20/20 vision (with corrections).
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Work Environment

  • Job entails driving a DOT certified shuttle van  in Glacier National Park and surrounding areas. 
  • Conditions may include narrow roads, congested traffic, wildlife on road, rain, snow, sleet, fog, rock debris, etc. 
  • Requires working varied and rotating schedules, long hours, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Requires ability to lift heavy objects safely and work in changing outside temperatures/weather conditions.
  • Non-smoking environment.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
